BP Doomsday? ⇒
Well, that sucks.
Um… the only two sources having anything to do with the current BP blowout are:
- An article pointing out unusually high amounts of methane near the blowout which can potentially cause oxygen-depleted dead zones in which normal marine life cannot exist. So, that’s really a cause for concern, but not on the scale of “explosions and conflagrations [that] destroy most of the terrestrial life,” as this article claims.
- A YouTube video entitled “BP Death Clouds Already Onshore” which turns out to be a local New Orleans news report posing concerns about air quality along the Louisiana coast. Yes. Still cause for concern. Not massive chemical death-cloud concern.
And… that’s it. The others are all misleadingly quoted scientific articles having nothing to do with the spill.
Nothing about the seabed rising 30 feet, as “some claim.” No sources about “huge gashes” on the ocean floor “hemorrhaging oil and methane” miles from the blowout site.
There are plenty of things to be worried about, but unless this article can cite some real sources, I’m not taking it seriously.
